poor Ian. everyone else got their Christmas knits on time but him. we have a neighbor in Bovina, named Rhea, who has a farm where she raises, among other things, Jacob sheep, which are white with dark spots. this is the yarn she spins from their fleece, which she calls "wacky wool". Ian requested a sweater with cut off sleeves, like his old favorite shop sweater you see here. this was fun to make, and i just unraveled the first few rows of the sleeve to get the "cut" look which won't unravel. this didn't take too long, but i didn't even start it until Christmas had past. luckily it has been a cold winter here, so there has been plenty of time to wear it.
